Latisse® is a treatment that is applied once a day to the base of upper eyelashes.  The results gradually start to increase starting at 4 weeks with results up to 16 weeks.  Bimatoprost is the most active ingredient in Latisse® which is also the active ingredient in Lumigan, a glaucoma drug.  There appears to be eyelash growth because there are increasingly more eyelash hairs growing.  The lashes then become darker, thicker, and longer which also prolongs the growth phase.
